Industrial Mining

We have long been regarded as a leading supplier within the specialised mining industry, securing a number of major long term mining contracts and mining construction projects throughout Australia. This extensive experience within the mining industry has given us a comprehensive understanding of the five key issues many companies face - product knowledge, stock, delivery, performance and backup.

As a key player in the mining, industrial and oil and gas sectors, we understand the logistics and importance of transporting equipment to sites located in remote and inaccessible areas and appreciate the impact and cost of downtime on your business.

Over the years we have been involved in a number of major projects including the Gorgon Project in Western Australia, the Yarwun 2 Rio Tinto Project in Gladstone and Lihir Gold.

Our success in the mining industry has been facilitated by the operation of branches in most mining regions including Mount Isa, Darwin, Emerald, Rockhampton, Gladstone, Townsville, Cairns, Toowoomba, the Hunter Valley, South Australia, Tasmania and Perth, with our largest branch servicing the Mackay and Bowen Basin areas.

Xstrata

We currently hold a long term supply contract with Xstrata, a multi-national company which operates mines all over Australia. Our proven service record and ability to coordinate a reliable supply of replacement parts has been vital in not only winning the contract, but also excelling in its execution.

Mining and Industrial Projects

We supply to a number of large projects including the Aluminium Refinery in Gladstone (finished late 2011), in partnership with contractor Bechtel, the Abbot Point Coal Handling Facility Upgrade in Bowen, working with contractor John Holland, and Lihir Gold in Papua New Guinea. We have also secured supply contracts with Queensland Magnesium in Rockhampton and Ensham Coal in Emerald, and have preferred supplier agreements with Ergon Energy and QBuild, both Queensland wide.

Expanding product range

To continue to meet the unique industry needs and requirements of the booming mining, industrial and oil and gas sectors, we have dedicated industrial branches in strategic locations across Australia and are continuously expanding our product range and knowledge base to cater for these sectors.

Safety and value adding services

In alignment with this, and with safety as our number one priority, we also offer a range of value adding services to help our customers in the industrial mining sector grow their businesses. These include specialist industrial representatives to assist with installation specific issues, product rationalisation, lighting surveys and audits, safety product surveys and audits, a variety of training courses, as well as testing and recalibration of Meters and Electrical PPE.
